Ok I'm probibly the biggest Survival Horror fan here but Im really hoping that the new RE and SH are better than the last releases..... I mean RE0 was a really good idea and had a really interesting story line, as well as tying some loose ends between the first and second games (how Burkin and Wesker were connected , ect) but it somehow left me feeling a little robbed of the £20 I payed for it.... because it didn;t seem technically much better than RE remake with the cramped locations and stuck camera angles.....
SH3 also made me feel a little robbed..... SH2 was amazing when I first played it because of the huge leap in graphics, great story line (7 endings!!) and the smother gameplay but again this didn't progress much in terms of controls, this didn't really bother me though because I liked the original control system and thought it was very tidy. When I bought Sh3 however, I was quite disappointed because the GFX Engine on PC firstly required Pixel Shaders (had to buy a new gfx card) and secondly didn't look much better than SH2 but required much better hardware (I was running SH2 in 1024X768 full details, but SH3 in 800X600 nearly full details). Also the new aiming system was shite (even with a PS2 controller) and the story was a little weaker than the previous 2 (only 3 endings, one being a joke ending <_< ) so I had completely finished the game in a few days.....

Does anyone else share some of these views or is it just me.... also can u post any news u hear about anyt of these games....

I've yet to tackle the Silent Hill series. First time I played it, I didn't own the playstation it was just an rental from blockbuster along wit the game. Though I do regreat not buying it when I had the chance to get my hands on it last year in an hok shop. Still, it did a hell of a lot more in terms of keep me on my edge then resident evil ever has.

As for Resident evil. fuck that. I just rented remake, and I didn't even bother finishing it I was so board, and I tried to take my time type deal(play for an hour, stop for 3, then play again). I'm having more fun with freakign Animal Crossing, then I did with RE remake. The same with Zero, though I finished that. As for verionca, and 2-3. I've yet to really touch them since I first borrowed from friend two years ago.

Resident evil 4 though, looks too be the one I may actualy play completly through with enjoyment since they're getting rid of the goddamn pre rendered background(I'm sorry, but it kills the game suddenly able to run away into another room. wait, then go back and zombie maybe gone). I also hope, they wise the fuck up, and alowe me to use more then six pockets if my charature clearly has more then that.

lol well at least it's better than RE0 where u get 6 pockets for one and 8 for the other and shotguns take up two fucking slots!!! The coolest thing about that was being able to drop items and pick them up... I hope they leave that in RE4 cos it's very annoying when u have a semi-useless item (small key, ect) and need to pick something else up.... either that or having to waste a herb to make room.....

Sh kicks ass though cos for one thing NO FUCKING ITEM LIMITS!!!!! Also it has things like sub-audio designed to make u feel uneasy..... try and play it w/out audio and it's just like RE but a little creapier....... oh well guess it cos SH came out after so realisecx jump tactics ain't so good..... hope Capcom have learnt though...... RE4 could be the best RE ever.... or the biggest dissapointment *cough* Code Veronica X *cough*......

But clearly the girl in RE0 had more pockets. Look at that weird little thing strapped to here back. And yeah, the nice thing of being able to drop crap where ever and then go back to retrive it was really nice. It save me using those stupid item box's.

And yeah, SH background audio was nice from what I remember. And RE4 looks likes they turning it into tomb radiar with zombies, from the movies. Which might be nice, to be ale to like run away from an zombie. Only to have them follow you, instead of stayign in the same hall-way or room. Hope-fully the invetory system gets a better overhaul. The six pocket thing, nice and should be left as an option for veterens, but they really need to up it to 10 or so.

As for news, just go to gamespy.com

yer that would make it much easier... or leave it with six but u get special items that don't take up space (lighter, combat knives, ect from RE remake) but u can select a weapon at the begining to be it and u can always carry a first aid spray or a herb, ect....

btw dude that thing on Rebecca's back was the chemical mixing set used to make battery acid and an idustrial acid later in the game so the only item allowed in there was chemicals.....
