Okay. I've kinda had it in for this serious for an while. I remember watching my friends play resident evil 1 when I was 15, and couldn't help but be at aw cause you got to do what most probably dame dream about, kill zombies(at least I have). Then I watched them play some more, and got board stiff. All they did was walk around, shoot at some zombie, then go solve an puzzle. Back then I never played an game of it's like before.

Once I got my turn, I played. Got to probably the part where you see that zombie turn up to you and groan, got an chill. then continued playing. Got lost(in the sence, I couldn't figure out what to do). Got mad. quite playing. Havent touch any resident evil game since. Execpt to once to try out the nemises demo on my computer.

This one really no different. I did manage to beat it, watch that queen leech die in the self distruct. Then the generic happy ending. Though all through out. I felt bored. Not to mention annoyed. All I did was walk around in an nearly empty building wondering what I should do next most of the time. I did so much backtrackin, if any gay men where there. Billy would of been raped!

Why, why, do people like this game so much? how the fuck can this series even be considered an possable system mover? I won't even get into how much it reminded me of another certian much older series*cough*aloneinthedarkclone*cough*
anyways ending this rant now.*goes back to watching boondock saints*

Mmm... you do make a very valid point at that.

See, I got zero also. I was kinda dissapointed, and it was a sorta short game. But for $20 (thats what I paid at least), meh... it's okay.

Here's the thing. I couldn't do any RE game at one sitting. I'd be bored shitless like you. So, I usually take my time on it. Do an hour or two, then go to something else.

So, is RE a selling point for consoles? Yes, but nothing compared to a lot of other games. I feel it's an okay game, but just that.

RE0 was shit because it was deisnged to be ran on the N64..... all they did when they converted it for GC was to update the textures.... the engine/level structure/story line were all kept the same...... t would have been revelutionary on the N64 but it was a dissapointment on the GC..... if you want a better Survival horror game go for Silent Hill...... I play both and prefer SH but I am patientley waiting for RE4 which is supposidly comming out in may (maybe earlier in the US)

I have played silent hill, infact i''ve been scouring evey pawn shp with in a 400 mile radios of me for an copy.
I never knew residente evil 0 was ment for the n64 orginaly. And yes resident evil 4 looks very promising, wit the simple fact it looks like they gotten rid of the pre-rendered backgrounds.

look on ebay, there's usually one there for about $5 also look on amazon cos they usually have them.... I think if RE4 is a let down I'll put up my baretta for good and give up on them.... sad to say I'm a veteran and have owned every game (baring Survivor 2 cos I don't have a PS2) and have finnished all of them.

RE3 and RE0 were the two biggest let-downs..... try RE remake cos that's very challenging but at the same time quite fun....... crimson heads will piss you off though......

The Silent Hill series spanks the Resident Evil series so hard it hurts.

Which series has the better storyline more reminiscent of creepy-ass David Lynch films? Which series has a half-decent camera? Which series has a map system that is actually useful? Which series doesn't make you rely on shitloads of ammo only to run out of while killing the 300th zombie that somehow dies from a certain number of bullet hits?

I think Silent Hill trumps RE in just about every aspect even though they are similar. Here's hoping RE4 brings some competition since Silent Hill 3 wasn't *quite* up to par with Silent Hill 2.

Not to mention how disturbing some of the creatures are in silent hill. I remember getting into the hospital in sh 1. Those babys made me cringe. At first I thought they where demons of some type, then I looked at them again and realized what they where. I kinda hate to sound like an fan-boy, but I hope capcon brings the series to the cube before the next generation comes out.

Who also could not help but forgot the radio you used to dectet monsters. All you hear is screaaaach and then swoosh, swoosh, or some other noise as some monster got closer to youa nd all you had was an bat! Now that tension

And as for the ebay thing, shit out of luck. I have no credit card. and my credit rating right now is sorta pooched due to me having to move twice in one month this year and finding no work in both towns.

for one thing Konami makes it and Sony and Microsoft have made sure it won't come out on cube (cos they stole RE from Sony and potentially MS)
