Finally the game ive been waiting for since before i got an xbox. A game where the slightest thing you do can change your life. Where one fight could make the difference of what you look like. Stay in the sun you get burnt. Slaying a dragon and get clawed in the face its their later. Be good or evil. Salvation or destruction is at the whim of the player.

FOR EVERY ACTION, THERE IS A CONSEQUENCE

It looks awesome. That and Halo 2 may be the reason why I get an xbox. I'd just hate to get hooked and loose my few free hours to a game.

Halo 2 another game ive been thinking about it looks awesome but kindof like the first one. Im gonna play it no doubt in that you cant if you have an xbox. The master chief i think was a vague character in Halo doesnt say much but hell who wants him to talk when he can blow up aliens. :D

well i think fable will be awesome, so long is it isnt a huge let down at the end like KOTOR, where only one decision really mattered in the end

i liked it, but i was so mad at the end how no matter how badass my guy was, if i choose that one option at the end, he would be a good jedi.

the game does have that sweet twist/ character revelation in it though, even if it could be seen a mile away.

anyways i'm looking forward to playing fable.

FAble is AWESOME!! but it's way too short. I've done everything in it and beat it already. It would've been better had they made it a game that took at least 20-25 hours to beat. But you could beat this game in an afternoon. There is to much you can do for this game to be so short... But it's definitely awesome.

your are right bout the one decision thing was kinda gay but i still like it and how was fable too short dont you have to grow up and stuff like that and what was your character good evil

Yeah, you do have to grow up, but your age is more dependant on levels. Any time you level up one of your skills, you age about .7 years. so i went from 18 to about 38 before i was even a quarte of the way through the story, just because i had been adventuring around trying to get money and silver keys, and ended up getting an assload of exp... which made the rest of the game overly easy. i was evil for pretty much all of the game, but it's not really much different (storywise) if you are or aren't untill the end. There's a choice you have to make at the end, and you get a different ending for good character saying, yes or no, or an evil character, saying yes or no. total of four endings. but mind you, i did practically everything there is to do in this game ( i only got 20 of the 25 heys, and not all of the tattoo cards and such. You only need 20 keys, as there are no chests that need more... and i didnn't really care about tattoos after i found the four i liked. and i only played for 20 hours. mind you, that's twenty hours doing EVERYTHING, and not 20 hours just beating the game. don't get me wrong though, i still loved it. now i'm just crossing my fingers, twiddling my thumbs, and waiting for Halo 2, Xenosaga 2, the new Prince of persia game, and i need to go get ninja gaiden.

well i have some downtime so i rented it today, and let me just say
any game where you can get a wife, and bitch slap her around the town, then get super drunk, and get the rest of the bar super drunk, and strip down to your undies and go on a drunken rampage and slaughter everyone is awesome.
haha yeah i always love indulging in games where you can do whatever you want.

Heh, that sound's insane (and extremely fun). Are people aware of what you did in the game at a later time?

well there is like a morality meter, that applies to all decisions but specific events are only mentioned in the moment, ie: like if you kill someone then the people will be like wow that was a dumb thing to do
but like 15 minutes later their attitude is back to the way it was before the murder (based on your morality meter).

Hey, it coulda be a spanned disc, if it wasn't an Xbox only release.

If we could dredge up those console wars threads, I'd be an ardent supporter of a dead to myself system. Ironic.

I was jonesing for my Super Mario Sunshine, Rogue Leaders, Pikmins and Eternal Darkness' (that I didn't finish when I pawned my GC). I know there are a few must play games that I didn't get and play on my owned by somebody else GC. Which I'll enjoy again on a much cheaper GC then before.

Although, I am having lots of fun with my (great cheap/used games from the local Hastings and pawn shops) PS2 games (Silent Hill 3, Kindom Hearts, Freedom Fighters, Parappa the Rappa and a pre-order on San Andreas), They were the most expensive as they weren't rentals (San Andreas is $49.99 on Amazon.com with free shipping on pre-order).

My rented Xbox (the system I'm entrusted with by my Job Corps sister, just yesterday).

In short. I only rented Fable so far (I'd like to buy it and enjoy at leisure), Ninja Gaiden is awesome (I'd like to buy that in the future), and Halo has been dollar a day for the past week, as usual (can't wait to buy the system off her for this holiday's releases, if she'll go for it) .

lol its unfortunate for you that you realised GC wasnt a good choice that late, I ended up selling mine after 2 months for an xbox, after I saw what they could do once chipped. (Along with the fact that if you have a dvd writer and fast connection - free games)

Fable is a great game, I played it through the first time and somehow without realising it became about as good as humanly possible, I had the halo and everything. Ive started playing it again now, trying to be as evil as possible, I even have an evil beard, lol :)

Hey, if I had the extra cash I MIGHT buy a GC, maybe. If I could find a controller I don't have to break my hand three times to use...but by the time I'd have the money, ad not already spent it on xbox games, xbox 2 will prolly be released. Woohoo! debt!

Fuck it man just go to a loan shark, get him to lend you 50,000 then move to japan and pick up a gamecube cheap. You can work as a rodent gutter is a local rat butchers, till you earn enough money to buy some shares in an independant shrimp cannery, then you're on the money train, meanwhile loany mcshark has no idea where you are, and if he ever finds you, you kill him with a spanner, easy.

I didn't really realize. I knew it was bad for games before I bought the frigging thing.. I just kinda bought the thing cause it has a few up comming games that I really want to play. Like Fire Emblem, the new zelda, and some other games i've picked up..

Though it is mighty tempting to take the hole thing down to EB games right now, and see how much I can get for the entire thing with my games, memory cards and one contraller.. Maybe I'll have just enough to like buy an used X-box.
