I recently ran across a not so recent metal band, Children of bodom. the whole"death metal" stereotype never appealed to me much, i just stayed away. but after listening to them and giving it an honest try ive changed my mind. the guitars SO fast and everything fits together perfectly. Angels Don't Kill, Rebel Yell(billy Idol Cover) and triple corpse hammerblow(i know it sounds bad but you really dont understand much of the words anyways). if anyone knows of them or tries them out tell me what you think.
3 inches of blood - deadly sinners is a hillarious song too if you trust me.

3 inches of blood is pretty intense, i've never listened to it on purpose...but friends have been blasting it

Children of bodom are one of the best bands I've ever heard (for guitar work at least). I wouldn't call that death metal though. If you want some really good songs check out Hate Crew Death Roll and Needled 24/7. Nothing compares to them live.

i got bored and dled every song. HCDR is just a good cd in general.

and those who are not into the genre would classify that as deathmetal mostly because of the vocals. its no dimmu borgir but it is pretty hard for the unaccustomed. i love it.

Ya, you do have a point. Im to use to stuff like Cannibal Corpse, and Deicide for deathmetal.

never liked CC. i like some not so recent metal too. maiden and megadeath, diamond head and even some pre-black metallica though a lot of the songs sound alike.
