Goddamn. I've been watching some horror movies lately, and I decided to rent this never made it to theaters type movie. It called MAY and it about this girl at least in her twenty's, who basicly has no friends and shit cause she has lazy eye, and mom and dad never let her be social, her best friend some creepy looking victoring style porcial doll. It EXTREMLY odd, the first hour of the movie, is all about how she keeps getting rejected in life till she basicly fucking brakes down near the last 30 minutes of it, and decides to start collecting "body" parts from differante people.
Anyone else watch it? And before warned, if you decide to watch/rent it. it not for everyone, it one of the horror type movies that likes to play on the deeper meaning of it all (basicly you'll see one seen where she trys to get an boyfriend and in his room, theres they's pictures he made of differente body parts and stuff from magazines.)

I love horror movies... I'll have to rent that. I haven't seen house of a thousand corpses yet, it looked pretty awful and all the reviews I heard supported that idea. what did you think? obviously you liked it, as you said WEEE, but what did you like about it?

Actualy I said WEEE cause I haven't seen it :D I live in a small town and it never got released here in theater.
BEside, it'll be the only R rated zombie type flick I have seen since Residant Evil , I'm just suprised I haven't seen anything on House Of The Dead yet, it was suppose to of been in theaters the same month as House of an 1000 corpses.. Not to mention I remember seeing an trailer for 1000 corpses in like 1999/98, and it caught my eye for just being odd. That and it made by Rob Zombie.

On another note to all you George A Romeo fans, the current remake of Dawn Of The Dead is being written by the person who made the Scoopy Doo The Movie, is going to be rated "PG-13" http://www.filmjerk.com/nuke/article566.html. All I gotta say, is those fucking morrons.. Hope-fully it'll bomb in the theater, and they'll release a unrated DVD with all the crap that was origionaly suppose to be in it. Since word has it, the hole movie was first shot as an NC-17. It suppose to come to theaters March 24 2004.

Whatever happended to the day, that horror movies where actualy gore filled scare feasts? None of this bull shit final destination and The ring(if you think that was scary, then yah an panzy) we're getting now.

*sigh* i suppose I must defend my movies. I didn't really consider final destination to be horror, it was sort of a teen thriller. and while it wasn't the best movie in general, it was fun to watch. as for the ring, I really really love that movie. no, it's not scary. but it is a very good movie. have you seen the original japanese version? you should watch that.

Also, WTF??? PG-13??? that's just not right for a dawn of the dead remake.

That why I;m a little urked. I know what final destination is, infact I laughed through it my self. As for the ring, I seriously fell a sleep in the middle of it. BUT because of the succes of movies like The Ring, which if I'm not mistaken, gotten an pg-13 rating, along with Darkness Falls or whatever plus whatever they've released in the last 5 years. A LOT of the majority consider it horror/slashers. It just since the success of the blair witch, it seems alot of so called "scary" movies either fall short, or dont satisfies:maybe getting to jaded to the genre as well: though May actualy made me flinch near the end minus it not being an compelete horror more horror/drama in my eyes.

The big wigs figure they can make more money by making the Dawn Of The Dead pg-13. It also been stated a few times by the screen play writer (the guy who did scoopy doo) they zombie flicks are below him. I my self will refuse to see it in theaters, perhapes rent it if the rumbling of an unrated DVD are true come out. Which should be quite refreshing, the screen play that was released a while ago. Described one sence where a pregant woman gives birth to an zombie, and the child thus procceds to eat the mother(For someone who thinks zombie flicks are below him, he sure seems to give it an try.)

As a matter of fact.. I just saw the movie May last nite.. and thought it was quite interesting... Slow and irratating a bit when she wouldn't say the right things.. or nothing at all for that matter... but all in all an alright movie... Certainly not the best movie in the world... but it kept my interest. I'd say it's one of those movies you have to watch through and through to understand why she acts or does the things she ends up doin in the end.

As for The Ring... and it's original version in Japanese ( saw both ) they're not bad. You have to have respect for movies with subtitles to watch the japanese version- i dano japenese so I'd have to watch the subtitles throughout most the movie to understand it- but both were pretty good.. I'll admit slow at times.. but good.

Final Destination 2 is to me as frustrating as the first one. I'm the type of person.. that if I sit down to watch a movie.. and something happens to a character because of their own stupidity ( such as the classic bimbo running up the stairs with a psycho killer following behind ) I tend to get easily irratated... and have to get up and leave the movie or turn it off... and/or come back to it later... I'm picky about movies.. but I've seen alot to know which are good.. and which have quirks.

All of the horror films aren't as good as some in the past years.. but hey... unless you're a big filmmaker.. what can ya do but complain and wait for a good filmmaker to come up with a new concept or something new or original to come out and make one? I myself can not wait to see House of 1000 Corpses coming out next week sometime.
~But hey... thats's just my opinion... lol

House of an 1000 corpses is due out on DVD tomorrow.

You understand how the hell the doll glass display case kept cracking even after she placed the thing into the closest. That kinda threw me off a little. oh well, least it made up with it odd ness :D The blind kids thing was great.

I think it was all in her mind as a matter of a fact... but that's just me... atleast.. that's how I took it when I first saw it... Maybe I should watch it over again. lol
