I cant find the actual article, since i read it in the edmonton journal and some news website

but anyways, i thought it was interesting that the study says that if you want to get in shape, by improving your stamina, its as easy as 6 minutes of high intense workout a week. this may sound wrong, since we've all heard that you should do an hour of activity everyday, but the research these scientists did showed pretty conclusivly that highly intense 6 minutes of activity gives the same benefit as doing a moderate workout for 1 hour a day for a week.

so for those of you out of shape, dont complain that you cant get back in shape, because all you need is 6 minutes a week to spare.

I think that might work for people that are really out of shape but once you get passed that threshold it won't really do much for you. I just can't imagine 6 minutes doing anything. I don't even break a sweat after 6 minutes running. Maybe I did when I first started running though.

i dunno man, the way you do it is to push yourself to the limit. so the way they trained was sprints on the bike. so they went as hard as they possibly could for 30 second sprints, took 2 minute break, then when for another 30 second break etc. until 6 minutes of total sprints. i think you'd be dead tired by the end of it all

I do that pretty commonly on my bike...

Still, I can't run a full mile if I wanted to...

I have no idea how far I run. I go for 25-30 minutes at a pretty good pace. Need to go on a tread mill one day to find out how far it actually is I guess.
