I'm not a major druggy but I've always wanted to try shrooms.
So anyways, my roomy scored some shrooms but according to THIS site it says that in a study, about 15% of people suffer from a "Flashback". Meaning that at anytime in your life after consuming one, you could relapse into another trip.

Has this ever happened to anyone or anyone you know?

happens with marijuana too. any drug'll stay in your system and flashbacks happen. just like acid is in your spine forever, i've had flashbacks with marijuana. randomly, 2 years later, i'll suddenly be high. it's a pain in the ass. THC is stored in the fat cells though so it'll randomly release as well.

my advice: drink instead of doing drugs.

now wait... certain chemical combinations and such CAN lead to shit like flashbacks occuring... I'd know.. And for me especially since the shooms were a badddd trip... the flashbacks ARE NOT FUN. Shrooms were like being in a Nintendo... in Mario world. haha. boo shrooms.
