im under the impression that people choose to be gay, and are not born
ive heard it said that"they cannot help it", they damn well can, they just dont want to
E.G. of circumstance...quitting smoking, people can quit, but most just dont want to, although very difficult it still can be done
unless youve got some mystic hormone imbalance that forces you to like the same sex, im not buying it

(and most people dont hunt with an assualt rifle, and to get such equiptment requires a hard to get approval from the ATF, and the whole gun training? it really should be a must, we really need to start a gun thread......might be a good rant page)

Quote:
What is gay? I honestly DONT think it biologiacly possiable. MOST(not all) gay(for you PC freaks homosexuals) people that I know, both female and male. HAVE obviously CHOSEN that life-style because they could not get anywhere with the opposite sex. Or they have deep rooted fears of the oppisite sex. Or some other weird problem with the oppisite sex.

Thus have gotten in it their minds, that if girls dont want me(or boys) then perhapes I should try my luck with the samesex. Though I'm against those religios groups that offer "reprogramming". They obviously made the choice, leave'em be.

On a side note, I call bi people just plain greedy. Like really, do they flip a coin and ask "Today I get some tail, tomorrow I'll give some head."?

I don't see why it's not biologically possible. there ARE gay animals, despite what somebody said earlier. there are quite a lot of them. I do agree that some people turn to it as an escape from dealing with the opposite sex, but in my experience that's a minority, as opposed to the overwhelming majority as you suggest. and I probably know more gay people.

and why should bisexuals be considered greedy? I am bisexual, and I am not sleeping around with everything that moves. I am monogamous, unlike most people's stereotypes of bisexuals. I just happen to be attracted to both women and men. When and if I sleep with someone, it is in a relationship... and not of the sort that goes "okay, I think I'll date you for an hour so I can fuck you". However, I know that there are "bisexuals", particularly women, who are only doing it for show, and they are probably my least favorite people ever because they make it seem like everyone is lying about it.

antipax what sense would it make to choose to be gay?
it makes absolutly no sense that someone would want to be ostrasized and made fun of by peers, and lose jobs and respect of others for making a choice to be gay when they could just be straight. and why would there be closet gays?? I choose to be gay but hide it? uh ok, that is retarded beyond belief - why would they even choose to be gay if they cant say it, i mean there are no benefits to it.

it makes more sense logically that gays are born that way other then becoming gay. which is not to say there are poser gays who think they're gay but werent born gay///

hey why the hell single me out?

alright then, psychology says that homosexuals are born, not made
but why stop there when it also says that many people with homocidal,
and anthrocidal tendencies, are born that way, they just cant help themselves.
i dont believe what it states about the homocidal maniacs, and i dont believe what
it says on gayiety, its the exact same thing "cant help it", and "was born that way" wont cut it

it doesnt make sense, unless theyre missing a chunk of brain tissue the size of a
grapefruit, im still not going to buy it.
and that statement about mystic hormone imbalance still stands, unless i see literal
proof, i just wont believe it, speculation just isnt enough evidence
theories unless concrete and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, just wont do
(well...for me anyway)

you are going way off on a tangent analogy, that isnt really relevant, because the amount of people who are homocidal maniacs etc, is nowhere near the amount of gay people - so you cant really show a comparison between such diverse and non related things.

also, you say that you dont believe something before scientific proof? well then it would seem you're a hypocrite, because if you don;t believe that homos are biologically that way because of no scientific proof, then you should not be believing that they choose to be homos, because tehre is no proof for that either! you should be "abstaining from making a decision".

granted im a hypocrite,
the reason i believe i have seen that homosexuality is a choice is because i know several (exactly 3, although ones just bi now....) women who were former gays,
as far as i know 1 of them now dates men, they chose that heterosexuality was the right way for them

and the analogy is related, however obscure,
because it has been said that homocidal maniacs have no choice in their behavior,
it was meant to demonstrate the idea, that although the choice may not be concious, it is still presented

AngelFishy yah probably do know more then me, and ment more in the homosexual community, cause I've only ment maybe 5 in my lifetime. I live in a city where town gossip made fun of two gay men who got caught doing it under the bridge just recently as a matter of fact(very strong religios town, I'm taking the type that flipped about nude statues infront of an local art museum).
About the bi thing ,that my take on it( i know not all our little nyphos). I used that heads and tails thing from a comidian cause it best shows those I've ment who be bi.
As for the animal thing, I've had the odd chance of seeing two male dogs going at it. Extremly funny when your young and immature(I miss 16). So I understand that perhapes some are born that way. Just those I've ment, arn't. The only gay I've ment who probably didn't do it to escape the other sex, was the guy who would of been my older step brother with his husband/wife/equall who got married in france.
