erm I can't run MGS on ePSXe properly, the CD wouldn't work properly in the PSX so I copied it  but for some weird reason it runs jerky (either original or copy) on ePSXe and the FMVs jerk on my PSX... is there anything wrong with my PSX or can't it read 40X Burnt CDs properly?????

There can be major CD access problems while using a hard CD copy (no matter how fast your drive's access time is). The PSone drive is running almost always on 2x access.

Use cdrwin and make a .CUE and .BIN of the disc or another program that might make an (true) .ISO. Defragment your hard drive. Download Daemon tools. Then mount the .CUE on your new emulated daemon tools CD drive. Next, config epsxe to use the virtual drive of daemon tools. Run the game with almost no load times and enjoy. If this doesn't fix your problem, download Pete's plugins and use the latest or experiment if you are so inclined.

http://www.pbernert.com/ Download the latest GPU and SPU for your config

My crappy (at times) AMD Duron runs MGS great. You may want to exploit the above tools to optimize your emulation.

What is the emulating PC's specs?

It'd be nice to have posted this question in emulation. It needs the activity.
