So's i'm coming in here... searching for the oh so rare soul blazer... along with actraiser... had this website in my favorties for a looooong time... (just not big on posting on message boards)

Turns out, every time i try to download a file, it tells me that the website i got the link from has stolen it. I was wondering how in the world (or why for that matter) you guys're stealing from ya'selves.

all idiocy and sarcasm aside though... is this a problem with my settings? and if so... what do i do about it?

thanks!

Make sure that you are using http://www.theroms.com/ and not just http://theroms.com/ to visit the site. The www has to be there or the script fucks up.

Also, what browser are you using? I've used it with Internet Explorer and Firefox both on WinXP and Safari on OS X and they all work.

Make sure that you also just click on the link and wait. If it's taking a while to load don't touch anything, just keep waiting. If you hit refresh on the browser it messes things up.

i'm on the verge of tears... this is killin me. cleared the cache and cookies... allowed cookies for the website, turned off all the popup blocker and shtick... and still this website (according to my POS) is stealing from itself. Maybe the roms.com just got so greedy they had to steal from themselves to get ahead... it's ok, i understand...

In the words of the great rorschach, (The Watchmen, DC comics.) "Joking, of course."

and in the words of charlie brown, "AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHH!"

I've also tried several times to get to those fun roms and keep running into the thief message. Clearing cache, history and cookies just doesn't help!

I'm on 98SE, use IE 6 with SP1 and all known updates. Whatever I try, just get's me back to the thief message... I've totally run out of ideas...

Sure, to keep all of this alive, revenue must be gathered, and I'll swallow any advertisements to get to where I want to be... .oO(Just from boredom, I even read most of 'm...)

It's just really really annoying to try and test over and over again, and end up smashing my keyboard in agony because I ran into the same dead-end again!

:(

You probably won't believe this but I got into the download page!

Alas, though, because nothing has downloaded and the link just keeps on giving me another add and returns to the same download page...

Are there still any Lynx roms on-line??? The download page doesn't come up with anything...
