Okay heres how this works

each poster will submit something, such as a picture, video or just plain text describing something,

then in their post they either deem it ETHICAL or NOT ETHICAL (Meaning, it being in accordance with the rules or standards for right conduct or practice) Basically, IS IT RIGHT? OR NOT?

then some sort of deliberation occurs, where we eventually decide to agree or not. (GOD DAMN IT MAKE SURE YOU SAY WHY!)

Once it has been decided Unanimously , I will edit this and put it under this little cool list.

and it will stay unless some guy doesn't agree and we go back to step 3...

The result will be a nice little referable list of our (Probably meaningless) Opinions!

I put alot of thought into this so be nice (as much as humanly possible)

:)|--------ETHICAL---------|:)

:(|------NOT ETHICAL------|:(

#1 - Roms - I'm assuming everyone here would think they are OK considering this is a rom site but I would like to hear your opinions.

Well lets see roms are legal as long as you use them as a backup of a game you already own.

otherwise you have to delete them in 24 hours OR YOU COMPUTER WILL EXPLODE AND KILL YOU.

I dont think roms are really all that unethical because lets face it, most roms are very crappy computer versions of the actual game its trying to emulate. (save for the NES SNES or famicon or sega ect consoles)

lets face it no-one exept hard core collectors are going to buy super mario all stars for thier snes.

I think roms give the oppotunity for people who normally wouldnt play a game to experience it once more.

And hey its through the secrets of emulation that i get to play super mario bros on my wii (That and a nintendo wii-fi usb connector and um wii points)

for every game that ever exists their is going to be some nerd who will try to port it to thier pcs.

The only type of emulation that i dont approve very much of is the process of putting a game from ur pc to a cd that can play in ur console. Unless no-one in thier right minds would buy that game.

But I guess until the government cracks down on things like pirate dvd's emulation CD keygens and NO CD CRACKS and all the stuff you find on 'those warez sites' then emulation will remain in the 'Its illegal but everyone does it pile'

thats my opinon anyway.
