Through October the server was running at an average of 83% capacity. Pretty good considering the first month I had the server it was down at around 40-45%. I'm going to have to upgrade soon. Now if only I could find a good advert or people would donate. Either way thanks for your support everyone :D

Lemme check..... I should get some better stats displayed on the page.... maybe like a daily record or something.

Anyways here's some stats from my control panel if your interested

Jul - 156,095
Aug - 1,360,784
Sep - 1,993,338
Oct - 2,772,424

So assuming 30 days per month because I'm to lazy to find if they have 31 that means this many per day...

Jul - 5,301
Aug - 45,359
Sep - 66,444
Oct - 92,414

Those are total pages not unique visits BTW. To bad there are no good advertising companies for websites anymore.

Why not do something like some of the slezzier sites do, and like have people pay to download the roms :D
Would it be possiable to ask penny-arcade or other sites like that to advertise for'em, for a small fee. If all else fails, you could like start charging people when they download the roms. Like 5 bucks for 2 roms or something.

Unfortunately not many advertising sites want to associate themselves with the emulation community. Emulation as a whole has gotten a bad rep recently so companies want to stay away from it. It is very hard to find a good company. As for charging, people would just go somewhere else. I know that I wouldn't pay myself. I have a donation system setup that people can donate money if they like but that has never been successful for me (still hoping for the first one). Don't really understand what you mean about Penny Arcade advertising?

Penny Arcade opened up an store, never know most online comic books will probably do it since most of the people who make'em do play roms. And you may be interested to know, that changes have been made state side to the copy right act regarding roms, so it maybe possiable to find american advitisers.

Wow that looks pretty good, just passed 3 days ago too. Maybe some more advertisers will open up to rom sites.

Hmm, thats pretty interesting. A good example of it would be the Hu-cards for the TG16 as they are no longer manufactured (for years and years now) and the format was pretty odd (and cool). Another would be Atari cartridges as in most cases they used paper circuit boards and they are literally falling apart nowadays.

About the ads, I'm sure if you filled the rom section with must click to advance advertisements porn or not, people would understand that they are keeping the site up. How about a donation nets you access to RaFs N64 roms or a date with the admins/future mods. :P

I've thought about doing that but I don't really like the idea of charging people for the roms. I did get an idea from crazy weed though that I am thinking of. Basically what you do is you have to enter your email address to get access to the download section and you have the option to sign up for different lists. What would you guys think about something like that?

Make it like emuasylum...You have to sign up to get roms, and in that sign up thing, have lists to sign up to (like you mentioned above) I'm sure that would work, to a mediocre extent, anyway

Sound aright. So long as I don't get spammed if I decide to get roms from here.
Also why not try rotating the roms, like taking a small bulk of the snes roms down or so forth if a certian limit is reached in bandwith.

When you sign up for it you choose if you want to join the lists, if you don't choose any than you don't join any of the lists and you get no spam.

The roms are stored on different servers than the webpage is on, that is just page bandwidth that is almost at the limit, rom bandwidth is entirely different.

Does this mean Andy could send this to his web-site and be able to upload Snes and Nes ROMS now?
