Boy, I'm glad they nipped this "zombie terrorism" in the bud. I sleep better at night knowing that authorities are cracking down on supernatural, nonexistant threats. Remember that one episode of the Simpsons when Bart day dreams about destroying his school with giant robotic ants? That's the face of terror and I just hope Matt Groening is a good enough American to turn himself in.

Student Arrested For Terroristic Threatening Says Incident A Misunderstanding

A George Rogers Clark High School junior arrested Tuesday for making terrorist threats told LEX 18 News Thursday that the "writings" that got him arrested are being taken out of context.

Winchester police say William Poole, 18, was taken into custody Tuesday morning. Investigators say they discovered materials at Poole's home that outline possible acts of violence aimed at students, teachers, and police.

Poole told LEX 18 that the whole incident is a big misunderstanding. He claims that what his grandparents found in his journal and turned into police was a short story he wrote for English class.

"My story is based on fiction," said Poole, who faces a second-degree felony terrorist threatening charge. "It's a fake story. I made it up. I've been working on one of my short stories, (and) the short story they found was about zombies. Yes, it did say a high school. It was about a high school over ran by zombies."

Even so, police say the nature of the story makes it a felony. "Anytime you make any threat or possess matter involving a school or function it's a felony in the state of Kentucky," said Winchester Police detective Steven Caudill.

Poole disputes that he was threatening anyone.

"It didn't mention nobody who lives in Clark County, didn't mention (George Rogers Clark High School), didn't mention no principal or cops, nothing,"
said Poole. "Half the people at high school know me. They know I'm not that stupid, that crazy."

On Thursday, a judge raised Poole's bond from one to five thousand dollars after prosecutors requested it, citing the seriousness of the charge.

Poole is being held at the Clark County Detention Center.

i just read that off some other site, what a crazy case, i especially love how the prosecuter had bail raised from 1g to 5gs because of the "seriousness" of the crime.

haha what a total joke. John Carpenter would have been linched if he lived in kentucky when he wrote and directed Escape from Newyork

This is the fault of the pussies who think that life is perfect and censored. This country was founded and tempered through years of slaughter and violence.

It's has always been America's stand to censor shit for us (some are old enough to know the truth and are wanting the unfiltered view). Even though we are meant/told to live and die for this place.

No wonder a large population love Horror movies, FPS' and porn.

I've seen some webcast news and programming and that shit pulls no punches. Let's all fight "The blow off half of your head war on terrorism" and not show a tit on basic cable".

I can't stand America's morals all of a sudden. I could of been Chief of the Northwest with countless wives and a one room lodge (teepee).

:P

hahaha nice, I'm the same way, I dont understand why violence is seen as such an OK thing, but sex, an act that everyone does is such a public taboo. my biggest beef though is with swears. Now i can see why some people would get upset if a swear is used in an offensive connotation, but when you say "yeah that was fucking easy" what the hell is the big deal, its a word for christ sake. especially annoying is that you can say "yeah that was friggen easy" and get away with it, but what the fuck frig and Fuck are the exact same thing. did the prononciation of rig suddenly become less offensive then uck, if so, why is there not a ban on the word duck.

ennndddddd rant.

good novel, good point tet, but then you've gotta think about my generation and the ones who think and act as I do. we dont like the place, we hate our leader, we voted against him, and we cant do shit now. protests here in colorado have gotten the crap knocked out of them, and police brutality doesnt matter. some pregnant lady got her face busted up for standing around.

All I can say is I'm glad my mother never rummaged through my stuff... I also liked to write fictional stories involving non-existent people... I COULD HAVE GONE TO PRISON FOR LIFE FOR IT!

It absolutely sickens me.
