Is it possible to have 2 soundcards running in your computer at once.??

I will explain in detail why I need 2 soundcards..

First picture - the setup in PSQUARED myriad allowing you to assign different soundcards to different carts.

- the audiowall in PSQUARED myriad with 4 playout sections - I want there to be 2 per soundcard so when it outputs to my mixing desk I can have 2 different faders 1st fader labelling myriad cart 1 and 2 and 2nd fader myriad cart 3 and 4 -

its so the DJS can PFL (Prefade) there next song to make sure its sounding ok..

all i need to find out is HOW DO I HAVE 2 SOUNDCARDS in at once

One of them is onboard SIS and the other is in a PCI slot Creative Audigy 2

yes but it's like having two graphics cards.....you have to select between the two of them cos for some gay reason you can't use two similtaneiously...

You can have both installed at once, you just can't output using both. You can only have one default soundcard at one time. Though you can choose which soundcard does what (wav, midi, etc)

You would need a splitter for your speakers as well or use headphones and speakers at the same time

I would be outputting to 4 faders on a mixing desk... it matters little as I have purchased an ECHO GINA24 soundcard

It has 4 analog outputs and 4 digital outputs.. so I can run my 4 faders -- Only problem being it wasn't cheap but I need this by next week or we have a station that is not going on air! simple as that..
