Nah, the red one just happened to be during the "Theroms.com is the biggest freakin' forum ever" period.

Then sadly that period went away and now it's die'n
I hate to say it but I'm preaty sure we're look'n at the last year of theroms.

It's really because of the rommers these days. Most of them these days are kids who are just finding out about them, trying to get PS2 and XBOX roms (which don't exist anyway....). They could care less about the good ones (NES, SNES, Genesis, bla bla bla), and especially not when the links don't really work a lot of the time.


Needless to say, a site like theroms won't be getting many new forum members anymore.

Hell, every rom site forum I'm on (the whole 2, haha) are losing popularity.

It could be lesser emulators or backwards compatibility. I feel old now when an NES emulator gave me my fix...robbing N64 games (emulator permitting) was kinda exciting.

The realization of seriously imperfect emulators and the large download size was a letdown. I'm not preaching...but, we all know there are no PS2/Xbox/...etc. roms. Like some, I got a good selection of roms/iso's that arent' even supported to this day. I keep them in case they may by some miracle they become playable.

I'll probably never author an emulator...anytime soon...and emulation of the next-gen systems...much less the current-gen systems...is going impossible/inpractical, in the near future.

So the influx of new people will eventually want GRAW or MGS4 emulated tomorrow...let's get homer and flaming back so we can bitch together.
