So I sign in today...and I've got 250mb :shock: . I never did get a gmail setup...but it looks like I'm in no hurry now 8) .

wtf im still on a 2mb limit. they said they'd be upgrading. i've had hotmail for a long assed time. they need to get their shit together.

I guess the main point is the ever growing stream of attachments which are themselves growing bigger... Mailboxes are just overflowing more quickly now, and the best remedy is to enlarge the boxes, 'cause the traffic involved sending "box full" replies to other full boxes is getting out of hand.

I can see it now. 6 megabyte e-mail attachment viruses...with people dumb enough to click them.

I can't even remember how god awful long of a time I've had a hotmail account. It didn't have tons of space, but no free e-mail used to. The only other e-mail I've gotten and stuck with was amodman@theroms.zzn.com, and that was only becuase I made the zzn account to get an ebay account and others without giving out a credit card number, heh. I got gmail now too, but it will probably only be secondary as everything already goes to my hotmail.

Same here. Cant say Im really that upset though. Although it would be nice not have to delete emails all the time.

Well I have like 3 hotmail accounts and all of them are 2mb so I dont see why some are upgraded and some not, one of those accounts are from 97 so its not a time thing.....

yeah, mine was upgraded quite a while ago... i have no idea how they choose who gets it done.

After hotmail and before gmail I used excite (with bigfoot forwarding). Excite's got 125mb storage and a decent attachment size (10mb). Plus, an endlessly informative home page.

It's tough to convert to a mail only service right now (like gmail).

But gmail has a 10mb attachmente limit 2 rigth? So the new hotmail with 250 has how much attachmente limit?

maybe theyre doind it in alphabetical order cos one has 250mb and the other still only has 2mb
