Alright here's the deal...

The forum is ugly. I have no way of changing the template anymore because of the crazy game system and such running on the boards. I can't use regular phpBB templates they just won't work.

I would like to have the forum match the rest of the site and have a similar look. In order to do it I would have to switch to different forum software. If this does happen you WILL NOT have to register again or lose any posts. That would all be transfered over.

I know that a lot of you really like the games and such that are on here but it's just my personal opinion that there is just too much junk added that we really don't need. It's a forum after all not a video game.

Just want to make it clear before you decide that no posts will be lost, no accounts will be lost. No need to worry about that.

I'm going to run the following poll for 10 days to help with the decision for this. Please post your comments about this below after you vote.

BTW, my own personal vote is to change the forum. I would prefer something small and simple without a lot of the bloat we currently have on here.

I say change it. I really don't play the game dealie, and dunno how many others do... but I'm thinking it wouldn't be too much of a loss to them... then again, I dunno.

I'm inclined to say that this is a ROM site. Lets make the forum accordingly.

On topic... yeah... It's more or less unanamous (sp?) that people really don't care apparently. I think we're all for the most part willing to sacrifice the RPG game for a better forum.

The poll is set to run for 10 days. That should give enough time for all members to get there say in.

If I do end up changing it anyone have any opinions on miniBB or PunBB. Those are the two I am looking at mostly.

Even though everybody has said similar things, I think it might as well be changed.

At the moment the forum looks very basic, this forum software isnt great.

I've updated the boards to PunBB software. I chose it becuase it's small and fast. I'm going to see if I can add a file attachment mod or something like that. Any other suggestions are appreciated. This is going to be the new forum from now on. I'll be working it into the website layout ASAP.

Almost got the forum working with the site template just a couple more bugs to work out.

This board does rock, it actualy fits my screen setting. but that maybe cause not everyone has sigs atm. It easier to read too. I give you some boobies for the work well done, but I don't feel like travelling to edmonton and buyign two hookers atm.

I did a bit more of the templtae last night. The main forum page is starting to look more like the main website now. I think it will be pretty nice once it's done.

Yeah it's no where near finished but it's a start.

Edit: And don't you like how fast this forum is? That's my favorite part. The other one was so laaaggggggggggggggggy.
