So I've been using Phoenix/Firebird/Firefox (proper, legal name now) for a little over one year now, and I absolutely love it. I can't even stand IE anymore.
O, let me count the ways it blesses thee.
-The never-ending extensions, allowing for never-ending upgrades and addons. -The prospect of themes, which aren't needed because the default is great, but still there. -The tabbed browsing feature, very handy while multitasking and crowding your taskbar. -The mouse gestures, which have made me a lazy bastard and I love them. -The smooth scroll, which sounds silly but is far better than IE's. -The StumbleUpon toolbar, which grants ye a random website based upon your interests. -The built-in search bar, which allows for searching of tons of search engines, like the IMDB, Google Images, Amazon.com, Download.com, or whatever you'd like. -The minimalist design, optimized for viewing space. -The pop-up blocker, which works so well I have not seen one unwanted popup yet it has not restricted me from seeing popups I want to. -The slightly faster page loading, which is very useful for all those on dial-up still. -The splendid download manager, which can pause and resume all on it's own, and keeps track of multiple downloads. -The fact that ye old browser has crashed maybe half-a-dozen times all year, as compared to IE's half-a-dozen times per week. -The fun little stuff, like the "Firesomething" extension, which changes your browser name to something random like "Mozilla FirePony" or "Mozilla MoonBunny".
-The fact that it isn't Microsoft, that Mozilla is the underdog and all of these little advantages make Firefox a customizable delicious treat that should NOT be passed up in favor of a crap browser.
