as for any of the other choices, they can do whatever the fuck they want.

Those are all American companys so theres not much I can say to comment as I have never had a problem with any of them, although without backing the RIAA they are there for a purpose and that purpose is to ensure performers get what they are entitled to? and if people listen to their music then they are entitled to payment whether that is the cost of the CD or not. In the UK we have the PRS (Performers Rights Society) and they do roughly the same Job except they deal with radio & television outpayments.
