I was thinking about it last tuesday when I got wasted but why do we have religion...is it an anchient sort of law to keep us in line, is it based on real people but the stories are so old now that important men and women have been turned into Gods? or is it true...I dunno but I thought it was a real mind fuck (the only reason it's in flaming is so I don't get told off for swearing in FFA again )

Well I'm an ex-stoner so I thought there was a God and that he was a spider or something at one point, I kinda think God is something made up by humans because we need to think there's something bigger than us that we can blame all our mistakes on...but hey that's what the governments for now so that's probribley why most western people are atheists......oh well...fuck...sorry had to swear or it shouldn't really be in flaming

Religion is a good way to control the masses. If it was true then why do we have so many different religions in the world?

Thats why religious groups hate the atheists, they have caught onto their bullshit.

i dont like any organized religion at all, i think they cause nothing but problems. but thats not to say that one of them isnt true, i mean arguably jesus, moses, Solemon, Budda, and that arab prophet guy were real, there is historical evidence to support it. but whether they were just crazy, i dont know.

yet, i dont think you can just say there is no god because we dont see him. because that is faulty reasoning, i mean we dont see air, yet we know its there kind of thing.

We don't see air but there are ways to prove that it exists.

any way you shouldn't have religon, you shouldn't even have belief you should just have ideas it stops you from being forced to believe shit that people make up....

Religion is fine if used and practiced appropriately. Lack of religion is fine as well.

no you should have ideas because if you form a belief then militant people try and force you to believe what they believe and this causes conflict for example the crusades...
