Okay, for one thing what's with all the holes in Windows XP security???? This is meant to be the most advanced form of Windows out, if Microsoft were so great and weren't trying to make sooo much money they'd actually bother to write an OS without stupid holes that were either created out of stupidity or out of MS's need for us to buy the next OS. Another thing is that whenever you install a program to your computer it for some reason 'needs' t add a whole new set of libraries to your system folder, A) making it huge and B) making your system become incresingly unreliable. The worst thing is that Windows has a nasty habbit of crashing as soon as you are about to save (especially Windows 98) and has to have illegal operations as soon as you start Windows....that or the blue screen telling you a DLL has caused a problem with something non-important....do I need to go on?

Macs do suck, but MacOS X does have WinXP support, and I've never crashed it. But Windows does blow goats, LongHorn sucks too.

Seriously though if games were develpoed for Linux and Windows would any of us use Windows? I for one wouldn't cos Linux is the shit, it's never crashed on me

I got Mandrake Linux, but it doesnt support my Windows Wireless i dont think, so I dont use it, but it rocked.

That is THE FIRST computer I had ever learned to use in the late 80's early 90s. They wheren't that freaking bad. All that, and from what I remember I didn't NEED to know how to do this C:&#092;Games&#092;DukeNukem&#092;DN.exe to get a game up and running. Just slipped the disk in, and wala I was learning my abcs back in kindergardern and firstgrade.

Say it with me now. M-O-N-E-Y But yah I do agree, we should have the choice between linux or windows.. Last time I touched XP I was on my friends computer and every 20 minutes a pop up would suddenly come out of nowhere for porn, or some stupid add offering money.. not to mention it was such a fucking ram whore, we couldn't even play games decintly on the damn thing since at the time all he had in it was 128mb of ram..

the mac was nothing compared to the commodore 64 untrue.

Nah the ZX Spectrum kicked ass, but yeah I do get what you mean Microsoft don't care about qaulity it's just money, I think Linux is the way to go cos they don't make money so they care about how well the systems performs, just a shame that it takes a while to write modules to support the latest graphics and sound cards

i've been useing windows 98 for about 1/2 a year now, and i gotta say, i have no complaints. it's never chrashed on me, and although i think i could make some agustments so that its better for me, i don't think the os itself is, like, tragicly flawed in any way.

i save my hatred for macs. they're all my school uses, and they're compleate piles of crap :angry:
