don't think there's any stable ps2 emulators out there, and it'll be a long while before there is. the ps2 hardware is pretty intricate, and emulation's going downhill, so if you really want a good ps2 emulator, program it yourself I guess.

But isnt the PS2 only a 200 mhz core, albeit dedicated? So wouldnt it only need about 400mhz? Then agian, it has the emotion engine to accelerate graphics further? Maybe i'm just an idiot nOOb...

It's not the hardware that matters atm, it's the actual emulator you'tre using! A very good PC will still run games better but it still is only slightly better. This is cos all PS2 emu's are experimental or alpha's!!! It takes time to get emulation right (think EPSXE), just be patient or buy the console!

Agreed. There are too many noobs around these days thinking these emu's just pop out of the ground...they take years of programming to get right.

If you think about all the emulators we have at the moment, they're all for old consoles, thats because they take so long to program.

EDIT: The one exception I just remembered is GBA, but the obvious reason this was so easily emulated is the uncomplicated technology that very closely resembles a snes.

Well we were once N00b's ourselves if you didn't remember Scott! N00B's READ THIS:
EMULATORS TAKE YEARS TO PERFECT!!! THE ONLY QUICK EMULATORS ARE S**T EMULATORS!
