well, im new with the whole emulation world. the other day, i was looking for my Zelda: Majora's Mask, and i couldnt find it. being too lazy to look for it, i just went online lookin for a free copy. well, all signs pointed me in the direction of emulation. i think i downloaded just about all the versions of n64 emulators. i have Project 64, Corn, 1964, and a few others. anyway, thing is, the speed is very laggy when i play zelda: majora's mask. and when i play donkey kong 64.... well, i CANT play donkey kong 64 cuz it runs to choppy and slow. (note: I heard that Corn was the fastest emulator, but it wont work for some reason. or i just dont know how to work it.) so here i am. looking for ways to increase speed. heres something to consider with my computer...

it have a GeForce4 video card
it run games such as quake 3, vice city, medal of honor: allied assault, etc. at full speed, no problems.
it has windows xp

with all of these factors, why is project64, and all the rest of my emulators running sooo damn slow. what can i do about this? and if possible, how do i get Corn to work, because i heard it was the fastest...

The only fix I can think of is using older Nvidia drivers. Some of Jabo's plugins were optimized with a certain drivers/cards in mind. Case in point I have a PC older and slower then yours...right drivers, plugin settings (in PJ64 1.5 Final) and a 1.4 .rdb. Made Majora's mask run like a dream.

You gotta experiment. N64 emulation ain't plug and play. Its a challenge that'll pay off when you get the settings right.
