As most of you know, there is limited options for commercial emulation for the current systems.
PS2, GC, XBOX, ect...


This is just alittle reminder that people are working on perfecting it but Rome was built in a day.
About 4 years ago, Majora's Mask would loose all color shading if you stood in a certain direction in PJ64 and now you can have HD!
Have I mentioned how cool that is BTW?

anyway, I have been testing out some emulators and they suck. All of them...but there are some that have the best potential.

Playstation 2 (Only For Windows)

PCSX2 - Fuck the all other PS2 emulators! This emulator shows the most promise. I'm sure well into the PS3's life this one will be the PS2's ePSXe. I only tried FFX but the game was too unstable. There are all kinds of screen shots of this WIP emulator on their site.

Gamecube (Only For Windows)

There are currently 2 working GC emulators. You can't run the disc with the emulator and I couldn't find a iso extracter so I have to wait untill my mario sunshine "gets out of layaway" to test anyone out but they both have lots of screen shots.

Dolphin - Has an extensive playlist and some nice screen shots of Metroid Prime 2.

Dolwin - Has some screen shots of a nice load game screen. No playlist though but there a dialup option for easy loadtime for those less fortunant.


There are only 2 Xbox emulators and they both play only one game.
One plays HALO preaty crappy and the other plays a crappy TUROK game damn near perfect.
I doubt there will ever be box emu.


Give these emulators 1 maybe 1 1/2 years and check back with them.

good research, but who cares about PS2, XBOX and GC, i want a DreamCast emulator

me too but I couldn't get any of them to work and the only one I could get to work (chankcast) started up but wouldn't play games.
I'd like to find a saturn emulator

The best GC EMU seems to be Dolphin. There's a lot of games it supports. Now all I need is a site to get the roms for it.

do u think computers will ever be able to do everything for me so I can just sit in a chair all day and not have to worry about money, job, etc..... oh well I can only hope
