I downloaded genesis plus and tried to use it but my controller doesnt work. It's not the controller cuz my controller works with MacMAME. The software needs emulator enhancer to use game pad/joysticks. I installed as the directions said. When I open it up it says no controller configurations found. The only place you can do this is in the controller tab in the prefferences. But here the only configuration is for keyboards cuz when you try to set it, it has a layout for a keyboard and that's it. Does anybody know how to get a controller to work with these kind of emulators(as the new ones that run properly or work on OSX need emulator enhancer to work).

Try a different Genesis emulator. Some are really glitchy when it comes to controllers. I'm pretty sure Gens works with controllers pretty well...

I might except I've never tried Genesis emulation on Mac. Sorry but I was never really a fan of Sega (notice the big lack of it on the site :p) so I never tried it out. Take a look at zophar.net though they have a mac section there.

I tried zophar, the only ones that don't use emulator enhancer are for Mac OS9-which means I have to run Classic which is like virtual PC for the old Operating System. This means it runs incredibly slow. But I don't think it's the software. I really think it's some simple little thing I'm not doing that I have to do. It suppose to support joysticks/gamepads(that's what they say it's for-to make controllers work on emulators) and even has section for configuring but it's only for a keyboard(weird) when you try to assign the fuctions. Do people use emulator windows? if so maybe someone knows what I'm talking about when I say it's a tab in the prefferences for configuration. If somebody out there knows how to work emulator enhancer please tell me how you assigned the functions to a gamepad/joysticks.

http://www.bannister.org/software/emu.htm try one of the two emulators this man has on his website.
The man also programed an shareware thing that alowes complete ups plug and play support for his emulators. This is all I can suggest.
and this site http://www.emuxhaven.net/sgemu.shtml it has a few on there too. but I think it the same from the list above.

Other than this, sorry to say, this isn't really the place for Mac help. Unless Tetsuo comes and answers. . . he might know his macs. . .
