I'm not sure how to get Goldeneye to run, it says you need high system specs but I was wondering what they actually were?? I've got a 1.3 256 ram and a GF2 but it still jerks like a mofo....could someone please tell me what I need to do to get it to work...and no comments like upgrade...I realsie that but what to is the question

hehe I still have a 400 mhz AMD-k5, with 192 mb of sdram, and an ATI rage pro 8mb video card.
Anyways, have you tried tweaking with the video options and what not in the emulator?

Yeah even setting it to 320 X 240 everything on minimum it still runs at about 20-30 fps. It says it needs a good system but I can't see y mine won't run it cos I have nearly double the system requirments and the recommended graphics card! Also Castlevania doesn't work properly neither, do u know any good plugins that aren't Jabo's?

Try this place http://www.ngemu.com/n64/. they have basicly every n64 emulator out there.

What you have to remember with goldeneye is, its a anomaly. It doesnt adhere to recommended requirements, so basically get a better pc. Or more precisely, a better graphics card.

Yeah, hopefully if I get a Radeon it'll work, how the hell did you get it to work on your GF2 Scott?

Hmm.. interesting very interesting..

There are a lot of plugins out there but that isn't your problem. I belive it may be the core of the emulator that is giving you trouble. Though generally, Goldeneye is one of those games that either works fine for you, or doesn't work very well at all.

I'd suggest, trying a different emulator, as that is something you should always do, to identify if the problem is within the emulator or the ROM.

1964
Nemu 64
Project 64

Good Luck.

Yeah. Hypr's right on this one. Though i should add that if you've never used 1964 before you should give it a try, because on lower spec PC's it can drastically increase the speed of some ROMs.

For me they're about equal on Project 64, but games like Mario Party run a lot better for me on 1964. Provided that you use the Project 64 plugins with 1964 'Jabo's Direct..*' then it shold work just like Project 64 does, just faster.

Hope that helped you out ^_^;
