just wondering if anybody knows how fast your comp actually has to be to run a gba emulator. i don't want to waste the time dl-in it if it won't work. right now im runnin off the iorn age with a p-2 with 233mhz.

Hey thats not too old.. i could run Half Life on my old pentuim 200...

And no, you shouldnt have any trouble with GBA emu on ur comp, I didnt.

well i donno, i guess its alright (a hellova lot better than that 486 that might very well be older than me) but i had read some stuff saying you needed at least 500mhz or a pIII, and i think that if something you can hold in your had has more power than a pc bigger than your stomach (excepting those with monstrus stomachs) thats pretty lame. thanks for clearing that up though :D

It also depends on your graphics card..I had a P3 450 with an ATI Rage Pro 128 16mb and Visual Boy ran well shit on alot of things....just get an ok graphics card and it'll run fine.

Yeah, GFX card can sometimes matter but all the specs are important. You might not have the minimum requirements, but it's always good to at least try it out to see if it works, and run it on it's lowest settings (high frame skip) though if that doesn't make it fast enough to be playable then you may want to turn the sound 'off', don't make it mute as that won't have any effect, the sound will still emulate.

Though really a PII with 233 MHZ will probably not work sorry, you need at least a PIII for most of the emulation today.
