A rather strange problem...

This has got to be the weirdest emulation problem I've encountered so far...I'm running a GBA game, Shining Force to be exact, but for some reason right after the introduction, when it becomes possible to move the character...I can't move. I push the direction buttons, and it allows me to turn every direction...plus I can speak to the mob right next to the starting point so I know it's not frozen. At first I thought it was my keyboard, but it only screws up on this game, and then I figured it was Boycott Advance, but I tried Rascalboy and Visualboy as well with the same results.

Is this just a bum rom (which I hope not, as I've dl'ed the same apparent version with every site that has it)? Or is it a simple problem of configuration that I'm just not seeing?

Any help is, of course, appreciated.

Not to sound like a smart ass but did you try looking at your controler configuration?

Great advice.

A cheap usb controller (or a good $20 one) would be a great alternative to the keyboard.
