Xp Driver Compatability

xp wont let me install direct x9 because the driver compatability bshit. anyone know how to disable that driver check so i can play tomb raider

nope, but you can try running it as a windows 95 program (compatibility mode), it'sa the only way I can play Rayman 2 on my PC

Why wouldn't you have dx9 installed...it's stupid to be still on dx8

Yea, I posted that at like 2am after getting home from a party

What driver is causing the incompatibility?

Instead of bitching about it how about you list your components and the software that is installed on your computer. Maybe then we can figure out what is happening.

everything is onboard! and this is the only error i get! btw this is NOT an os compatability issue, direct x 9 is designed to work with xp

cant tell, it says nothing on the tower, and the manual is nothing more than a n00bie guide. but heres my display adapter-then my monitor driver info
Intel® 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller
hp pavillion v70s - No driver files are needed or loaded for this device

btw i turned off driver checking too, to no avail :angry:
