I love XP so I'm going to be a user well into the next following years.
I was thinking about installing Vista on one of my externals and playing with it a little bit.
I'm afraid that Vista will completely take over all HDD though since Microsoft is horrendously notorious for that kinda shite!

No I haven't but it sounds interesting. Is there a release date?

The only official word is sometime in the first half of 08 but since the 1st quarter is almost done, I'm leaning more towards either the later part of the 2nd quarter or somewhere in the 3rd.

Beta versions are already out.

My luck I'd download one and find out its a hacked SP2 and turn my laptop into an expensive paper weight.

I got XP Home SP3 installed.. It can give you up to a 15% boost in running games.

Where did ya get it?
Is it just gaming that got faster?
What about emulation?

I did a google search, found a installer for it and installed it. Everything is faster emulation too.

And Chris, Vista isn't as bad as it used to be with SP1....

...but I still am not ready to move to it.

Haven't had a chance to check out SP1 on Vista but I hear they did some decent improvements. I'm still not changing over anytime soon though.
