I'm gonna upgrade my current computer:
CPU: 1.3 Duron
RAM: 256 SD PC100
GFX: GF2 MX 400
Mobo: Shit (K7S5A)
Power: 300 Watt (I think)

And want to get the best GFX and CPU I can for £100-£200 (About $135-$235) and just wanted to know whats good to get.....I can wait to upgrade my CPU from my wages but I want a gaming system that runs games in 1024 X 768 (my monitors shit) nicely and won't need to be upgraded for a while. Any suggestions / advice would be appreciated. I was thinking of a 2200, 512 DDR and a 9600 (original, not SE) which will set me back just over £200 (Work it out if your from the US :P) is this any good?

£100 = $150
£200 = $300

multiply english pound by 1.5 to get US dollars roughly :)

You won't be able to upgrade everything

I would get these used:

mobo: Abit NF7-s
ram: 256mb pc3200 (add another stick of 256mb pc3200 later)
cpu: athlon xp 2500+ (make sure it's unlocked)
video: ati radeon 9600pro
power: at least 350watt

It means the multiplier of the processor is unlocked. (Default is 13 for a 2500+ I think) So if it's unlocked you can access the multipliers 1 through 20. If it was locked, you can only access 13.

Yes it was purchased before that, I think around September at the latest probably a bit before that even.

The motherboard is K7 Triton Series KT600? That's what the box says I don't really know much more than that about it.

sory I was drunk. I know I can't over clock my board anyway, not until I get different ram cos I can get it to 15X I think.....but I need a new cheap mobo, is an N-Force 2 a good buy for cheap and who would be the best cheap manufacturer?

I would only go for an A7N8X-Deluxe rev 2 or an Abit NF7-S rev 2
