My IE explorer keeps changing (on random) to have its homepage set as http://www.super-fast-search.apsua.com/
and sometimes its a porn site

i know its an adware, but i never install anything on my computer, and i've run both ad-ware and spybot S&D. along with norton, but none of them detect anything.

does anyone know how to get rid of this problem?? i couldnt find anything on google.

In Adaware have you updated the definitions? I didn't on mine and then after it found another 30 extra spyware.

yeah i update before the scan, so they were upto date as of yesterday when i re-ran the scan, but they wont detect anything
and there are no tasks running, or weird startup items in msconfig that would indicate what the hell it is.

have you tried emptying the temp file folder for windows, and you're cookies? or how about simply changing the homepage back to what you had it too?
ANother thing that may work, is if you try editing you're index.dat file for internet explorer go to norton and read up on it.

ok ok ok, I found that the problem is not solved, but i know whats causing it.

everytime i open windows media to play a video (usually windows media just doesnt work at all and so i use divx player) but anyways when i open windows media, its after this that the internet explorer changes the web. However, norton will not detect any viruses in windows media player.

and seeing as microsoft is fucking retarded, i cant find any way to uninstall windows media player.

any suggestions?
