Dude, Apple can't really lie on their site, that breaks a little thing called "The Law". IT's very intresting, this specific law I reference. It makes it really bad to say things that aren't true, ie: advertise falsely. And the 2.5 DP G5 was made for the type of people who are going to be doing huge jobs referenced in the graphs. Also, Macs were never gaming computers. People who own high end Macs usually have jobs too, jobs that require a computer which can open 25,000 hi res photos at once or CG a Lord-of-the-Rings-esque environment. That doesn't put CS2 at the top of their purchasing list, the peak spot is saved for Apple's 30 inch Display, the biggest & best monitor out there.

Whatever dudes.... I just think if you personally aren't in a big company using Macs for batch processing you're wasyting your money really...... also the Apple support in England is pretty terrible (took four months for them to fix my friends Ibook and cost him £300 plus they charged him another £400 for an OS X Upgrade) so I personally have known only bad dealing with them but I am currently having loads of problems trying to share my friends internet connection with his Ibook..... it's seriously weird cos it's allowing file sharing and stuff but not allowing the internet connection to be shared..... so I'm extra pissed off at them today... it;'s a bit hard to explian the connection but it's a little like this:

computer 1:
Windows XP, broadband connected directly, router to wireless connection

computer 2:
Windows XP, internet connection through wireless connection and connected to Ibook via CAT5 cable / ethernet card

Ibook:
Mac OS X, file sharing enabled through CAT5 Ethernet but no internet connection

we've tried playing with both the Mac and PC network connections but it's having none of it

computer 2 has a 3Com Gigabit LOM (3C940) ethernet card which connects to the Ibook viua it's built in network card and Computer 2 connects to computer 1 via a NETGEAR MA311 wireless card... I'm not sure what type of router it has but if you could shed any light on this problem it would be appreiciated as he's so pissed off with it now he's considering selling it.... btw he's not really looking to buy a load of new networking hardware cos he just wants the mac for using MSN whilst he uses his PC for games.......

and durnfoowidget I wouldn't really wanna spend that much money on a 30 inch monitor cos I could get a 52'' TV and use TV out cos I think it's cheaper and I'd also get a new TV too..... (it's about £3000 for the TV)

they have to be on the same subnet

255.255.255.0

192.168.1.2
192.168.1.3

assign static internal ip's to the the pc and the ibook.

Well, TV out isn't as high res as DL DVI man. So the 52 inches would be kinda wasted. The 30 inch has an insane resolution, 2560 x 1600, which is just about 4 million pixels. $3300 for the monitor, $600 for the vid card. College student discount = $3000 for monitor, $550 for vid card. So, thats $3,550... 3,000 GBP = 5,460 USD. Lets pretend I can earn $1,100 more, then I'd buy another display, bringing my screen space up to 60 inches, and 8 million pixels. I think that beats a 52 inch tv, for 3,600 pounds.

lol I'd really like to spend that much money on a monitor but those bastards at Apple like to exchange the dollar sign for a pound sign making the monitor £3000 (plus we get charged VAT and import tax so about £5000 after all that) and the card would be around £800 after all that..... so it might be better but the TV would be cheaper and it's one of those 100Hz ones so I think they're not so bad for flickering and shit also TY for ur help Tet.
