if you got a wireless card. just browse for the network called linksys by default

or login to 192.168.1.1 (default is admin admin, or admin linksys (login:pass)

make sure that your modem is going into the wan port, and the wires are coming out of the 1-2-3-4 ports. if you are using wires.

I just did it with the exact scenerio.
Assumming you have XP on both here's how I did it...I think. -_-;

Go to My Network Places
To the left is the shortcuts, choose "Set up a home or small office network"
Hit next until you get to your network card selection and check the box labled "Ignore disconnected network hardware"
Hit the ?middle option? labled "This computer connects to the internet through a residential gateway or through another computer on my network"
Lable your computer
Lable your Network ( NETWORK LABLES MUST MATCH! ) Duh... :P
Choose "Turn on file and printer sharing"
I chose "Create a Network Setup Disk" but it may not be nessisary. Do it anyways just to be safe. (A:\ drive required! )

Go to the next computer open the file on the floppy and repeat the process.

This is how I got it to work and I'm also using a Linksys. Both PC's are wireless. Make sure when sharing folders, you hit the "View you Windows Firewall settings" and make sure the box labled "Don't allow exceptions" IS NOT CHECKED!

Enjoy sharing.

EDIT: Hey, the skate boarder thing happend on my Bday :)
Sucks to be the arrested guy though.
Hee...If I lived in the area and knew where to get Skateboarding is not a crime bumper stickers, I'd buy a crap load and slapp'em on parked cop cars :D
Frig'n oinkers
