I'm basicly only familour with burning something onto an CD. Like an rom, or such. But, I want to make an back up copy of one of the games I have Thief. And was wondering what program should I go find and download for this. Should I use the normal program that came with the DVD/CD burner and make an exact copy of the CD? Or should I go out and get something that'll make sure any pesky copy stuff on the orginal CD won't interfiew with it?

im sure your burning software will copy it fine. if it gives you shit, try clone cd, nero, alcohol 120%

Turn the file into an iso and burn the contetnts to a cd,so when you place the cd in the drive it will start ready to install if the need ever arises agin.

Yeah, I'd say do that......or if you can get hold of the CD you can burn it in ISO form and run a program called Daemon Tools that'll mount the ISO as a readable CD drive....that way the game'll thinks it's legal and won't need a no CD.

Actualy kinda figured I may need daemon, thanks for confirming it. But how do I make it into an ISO or bin file? Is it as simple as say making an zip of the entire data on the disk, then just changing it to. theif.iso?
I remember this was discussed before, but to bad it was the old boards.
