Too many times did I want to throw my laptop against the wall last night because I cant restart my hard drive. I remeber a day when all you had to do as open a small 62kb program called fdisk.
That was my friend.

I want to clean my HD and start it over.
Please help me out by telling me or giving me a link to show me how to KILL BILL GATES!!!!!!

Errr...delete the contents of my HD.

This "I hate Bill Gates" note was sonsored in part by this image.

boot up with the xp install cd in the drive and make sure in the bios that it will load the cd rom drive before the hard drive.

He's banned for a week now. If he decides to come back after that he doesn't get any more chances. One fuckup and he's gone for good.

Now let's continue talking about that virus know as Windows XP.

Ok...

I restarted my HD with little problems.
Key word little.

Remember my PSXtoUSB thingy I was talking about.

Use to be when you plug a new USB Connection, it would start to D/L the contents.
Basically Plug&Play isn't working.

How do I fix this?

When you go to your device manager does it have any thing in there that is an exclamation point (not setup properly). If there is then remove it and restart and it should detect it properly next time. I'm going from memory (no Windows here) so it may not be an exclamation point exactly but you should get the idea.

I called dell and they helped me.
They wanted to charge me $99 to talk to the software guys!!!

I have a new question now.

Is there a way to install win98?

Everytime I use start with CD with the win98 cd in itautomatically starts XP.

You need to setup different partitions on the HDD first. I've never actually done it myself yet so that's about all I can tell you but you should be able to find out better instuctions with Google from that.
