Ok I'm considering getting an x800 Pro (ot the 6800 series cos I don't think the shading quliaty isn't as good) and I've heard heat piping is a good way to overclock newer cards.... has anyone one done this, could recommend any brands/models and does anynone know how effective it is????

I've heard about heat piping as way of cooling parts...

I also heard it was really damn expensive.

well it's about £20 for thw set I want for my GFX card so if it's well better than an Artic cooler I'll get one... but I don't want too if it's only a little better

Yeah, never pay hundreds for marginal gains.

I've heard heat piping is rather good in comparison to liquid cooling...

Though I heard it was rather good.

That reminds me... I saw a PC case that had entirely heat piping as way of cooling EVERYTHING (CPU, video card, etc.).

Anyway, weighed about 50 lbs, cost about $1000...

And makes 10 or less decibals of noise...

Anyway, yeah.
