Everytime I try to open up an .bat file. It automaticly opens up in notepad, then starts to print. when it suppose to do something else. Example, I'm trying to get Y's installed on my computer, the installation says to double click on the .bat file. Then go from there. All I get is printing, which I know shouldn't happen..\
I don't remember wht I did to have this happen, but it annoying..

Right click the file, and go to something like "run" or "open" or something like that . . . OR, open up a command promt (Start -> run -> cmd) and then CD to the folder that your bat is in, then run it from there. The Notepad thing is just an association, probably came from you trying to edit one at some point or another, and not unchecking the box to change the association.

Yep, that what happend.. I basicly was playing with one, and made it print to always. I just kinda forgot what I did to have that happen, turning the printer off seems to also solve it. Thx for help How do I change the assiotation though? I tried going into my folder options and when I got to the .bat it has this in it run command "Open, notepad, print" I exactly dont want the notepad and print anymore. and it not letting me edit them out.

Right click the bat > open with > choose notepad, checkmark "always use this program to open this type of file" (or whatever it says)

May I suggest...Tools...Folder Options...File Types...for some extra options in dealing with it.
