Anime is wonderful thing.
Take Lain for instance. It is a well wrote story but it's artwork is what really brings it to life. Akira is a perfect in every aspect. The art is not "screwed 'n' chopped" looking like some are. (Sailor moon, pokemon) The attention-to-detail is spnderful like the stickers on the motorcycle. A US NAVY sticker added a nice touch to an area that is set around tokyo. I liked that from the begining. I have never seen the movie with subtitles but I'll take everones word that it's better.

But this isn't about akira in general or hell, even an anime. Manga's are always better than the anime just because there is more detail. I've never had the privalidge of reading an Akira manga but the Ai Yori Aoshi books are nice. If it is possable to immagine watching an anime just to enjoy it's art. Manga's are also a shining example that you can't just pick up a book with pictures of nudity and just assume it's a porno book. Not for the nudity but for the moment of the situation you know what I mean? :?

In anyway, I had a moment of insperation to write and it's gone now. Anyone feel the same? Agree? Disagree?
...or we can just agree that I have to much free time on sundays.

I do know what you mean about manga being more detailed than anime (dragonball Z is the biggest example of this) so I'm trying really hard to read the comics now and in most cases the anime is much different to the original manga... Hellsing is a wicked series but the manga is 100% better..... also they put some things in that they couldn't put in the anime (due to trying to stay withing certain cirtifcations and anime directors adapting the manga)
