Hey guys just posting the link in the spam board cuz that's where it goes I guess. Anywhoo, this is my new website project. I don't have a name for it yet or anything, I'm trying to find a good domain name for it still.

Basically, it's a HotorNot site. I used to run one a couple years ago called RankYourPic if anyone can remember that. I wanted to set one up again so that's what I did

If you could check it out and tell me what you think that would be wonderful. Also if you could upload some pictures into the database that would help me out a lot as well.

Getting these sites started is the hardest part becauses their are no pictures to rank and I'd rather not just spam it with pictures I find online. Let's all help out poor Chris and submit your pictures

There just in the logo picture. I doubt anyone would complain about that. If they do then I the worst thing is that I would have to make a new logo. Or rather get someone to make me a new one

hah, trust me, nobody cares if you use pictures of stars in your logos. i mean, think of all the fansites out there using pics without permission.

I'm trying to think of some type of contest I can do on the site to get more people to sign up. I was thinking of referals or something like that but I have no way of tracking it. Anyone got any ideas on some type of contest I can run that will get people to sign up?

One time, I had a 10 question gaming quiz (on my old site). Surprisingly they answered all of my questions (only two though, one member posted that he got the cds (enjoyed them) and hits the hits took off). They got 10 CDs worth of roms, no-CD PC games, emus, plugins and music.

Would you consider putting up a (good) fairly recent game that you own (that you might not even play anymore) or a possibly legal disc full of roms to the winner (or for a non-56gay winner and send the content over broadband)?

Every pic submitted could earn an entry and the game or disc to a random winner.

Is it ok to submit people we know, celebrities, and hot women we found on the the net or only pics of ourselves.

Giving away a game is a good idea. I've got a bunch of XBOX games I could offer. Problem with that though is that it's not something everyone could use. Rom discs wouldn't be that good of an option, I'd rather keep that site seperate from roms.

People you know: sure why not, I don't know that it's not them submiting it
Celebs: no, I can't accept any professional pics or anything like that
Hot women you found on the net: well as long as there not modeling pics then who's to know it's not them that submitted it
Pics of yourself: of course

haha i think people are scared to post their picture. their nerotic need to have self gratification from a high rating is ruined when you look at the site and the highest is a 6.

by the way that dude with the cowboy hat is awesome, i wish i had that hat.
