hello, i am new around here and i have a grate idea inmind for all of you so listen up.

i have a spare pc, an extra amount of brandwith and the tools needed to set up a ftp box. the problem is i dont have that many files to put on my server soo here is my idea......

i will share my box with those of you who have things to add to it.
there will be a name/pass system and i will have 100% control over brandwith and users. this isnt the first time i have done this but it is when it comes to roms.

those of you who like this idea and want to take part can contact me via aim "dustinv420" or by email at "dustinv420@msn.com" i only plain on hosting gba roms/snes roms and maybe others. my goal is to have all the top rated gba roms and snes roms on it. if things pick up i might add psx and others but for now lets keep it simple

EDIT: once i have added my files and the ones that people want to share it would take about a day to have everything set up and ready. i hope to get a large reasponse from most of you who have alot to share.

mp3s arent really one of my concerns but a nice idea, and asfar as your concerns go RAFakaSB i would allow those who shared to use my box aslong as they keep stuff comeing in every few weeks or so.

but after time(say a month) if you have nothing to give then you would most likely be cut from the list. the way it works is i set up a folder on my very own computer and allow it to be shared though IE, all i do is give you the ip and name/pass and you go to it like its a website. i would keep my brandwith capped @ 150kbs download and i would be the only person uploading things to the box so that wont be a issue.

i am gonna be bisy for the next 3 days but afterwards those of you who want to take part can send me a email or aim or even post here (if your lazy) and i will keep you posted on how long it should take to get every thing in order.

i think there might be alot of people wanting to use my box so i am gonna have to be picky about who can and cant. there will be NO freeloaders.

i have worked out a system for the people who will be useing my box. there will be 2 differant types of users,
1.normal user-allowed to download roms, 50kbs download speed
2.advanced user-all of the above + you get to download from my personal files that include Movies/Software/Fully zipped cds this package includes over 60 titles you will also get 100kbs download speed.

you must offer atleast 5files to become a normal user, advanced users will be the ones who i belive have the most to offer or the ones who are most helpfull. the people who have the extra hard to find files or the ones i feel try there hardest to help&share.

i am in the middle of transfering most of my files to the ftp server(my other pc) and when i return from my trip i will start setting up acconts.

for each user there will be a uniq name/pass, if any other ip other than your own is seen useing your name/pass your accont will be disabled.
those of you who want to take part please contact me by email "dustinv420@msn.com" with a detailed LIST of the files you will be shareing(do not send files to this adress). this is first come first serve so if someone else has already offerd to share afile on yourlist it wont count. you need atleast 5 to be considerd. i am only allowing 10 users to use my box so act fast.
